Liz Gumbinner has been the consummate multi-hyphenate before it actually had a name. As an award-winning creative director at ad agencies including Deutsch NY and LA and David & Goliath, she created work for major national and international brands across nearly every category. A pioneer in blogging, podcasting, and digital content, she co-founded Cool Mom Picks, one of the first influential parenting lifestyle sites, became a frequent media commentator, co-hosted the Spawned podcast with over one million downloads, and in this time, helped shape how brands work with creators. She continues to write as a columnist and cultural commentator, and publishes the best-selling Substack, I’m Walking Here.
Most recently, Liz has returned to her alma mater as an Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston University’s College of Communication, sharing her hands-on creative, editorial, marketing, and media expertise with the next generation of creative problem-solvers. Additionally, Liz has recently been named the college’s first Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives, leading branding, marketing, strategy, and communications.
