From pioneering measurement strategies at major networks to developing breakthrough analytics approaches, I've consistently transformed complex data into compelling narratives that drive business decisions.

Hi everyone,

My name is Doreen Abanema Abayaa, and I’m excited to be part of this amazing group of women in communications here in New York. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Journalism at Stony Brook University, where I’m set to graduate in May 2025.

I have over five years of experience in journalism, specializing in writing, editing, digital media, and social media engagement. I’m passionate about storytelling, community development, and addressing social issues, and I aim to use my skills to create meaningful impact through my work.

In addition to my studies, I work as an Editorial and Design Assistant at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, where I get to combine my love for creativity with my professional pursuits. Being in New York has been an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others who share my interests.

I’m looking forward to learning from and collaborating with all of you in this group.
